Class 7 MOTs are for commercial vehicles such as pickup trucks and goods vehicles with a gross weight of between 3,000 kg to 3,500 kg.

Is a Class 7 MOT test different to a standard Class 4 MOT test?

Class 7 MOTs are like Class 4 MOTs for cars and smaller vans, but they’re more in-depth to reflect the additional size of the vehicle. In addition to the usual checks (see Class 4 MOT), Class 7 MOTs include extra tests for the vehicle’s brakes and tyres to make sure that they’re appropriate for the extra weight.
